I knew about the "SPI" as a marketing term, but ... Is it a "standard" that's accepted industry-wide? The i805x family didn't have this feature, but I've seen the term used pretty widely, mostly in advertising. Unfortunately, though I've been doing this stuff for 30+ years, I've never had occasion to use a serially interfaced peripheral chip on an MCU because they've always been too slow for my applications. Now, I'm not sure what, exactly, the relevance of "SPI" to the discussion of Mode 0 in the serial port in 805x-type MCU's, but I guess it must be relevant, since someone said it was. Perhaps you can clear that up without wandering off-topic. RE |
