At that "volume, it does not, but what I specifically responded to, was that in the previous post you spoke of "cost-effective" with no reference to volume which, for me, mean parts cost. For a volume of a few, my designs have often been called "crazy". e.g. were I to make ONE bicycle spedometer, I would likely grab a fast chip with a large code memory "just to make sure I needed not worry". Just one thing, please, when stating things like "using 11.0592 does not make sense" put it in context, do not assume that nobody communicates. "Using 11.0592 does not make sense when you do not need the UART" is perfectly valid. If you look at the start of these threads, they would never had been lenghty had context been provided.
