Richard - I wouldn't necessarily say Sandeep is a manager. Sandeep - this is not a swipe at you!! I see the mindset in many people including myself (at odd times) where you're too close to the problem at hand. Experience tells you to step back at this point and to start gathering hard evidence. It does sound like it is a telecoms device (with the chips that were mentioned), so one needs to look at what processing needs to be done immediately (this needs to be qualified as to what immediately does actually mean) and what can be deferred (again as to how long something can be deferred needs to be defined).

It sounds like enough bandaids(r) have been put on this product and its time for a new look at the problem.
