I Googled this term and got no hits outside 8052.com.

I'm taking a wild guess here, but if you look at segment 6 of

I think that solves what I perceive to be "clock biting" from the context. Quite frankly, I still don't see how it becomes a factor here.

In the case at hand, if one counts the clocks and monitors the other signals, one gets the appropriate count. With a little arithmetic, that translates into a measurement.

Perhaps someone could put forth a rigorous definition of "clock biting."
