Some other ideas:
  • Just leave the extra digit(s) blank.
  • Get creative and use the extra digits(s) to display something other than the weight being measured. For example, maybe you could give some sort of indication after something has been placed on the platform that everything has stopped bouncing around enough that the indicated weight is stable and can be trusted.
