but because there is a better solution than you show (particularly if the application the original poster has at hand is a one-up installation). That solution is to use an RS485 multi-drop interface.
Hi Michael, Thank you very much for your response. Even I considered these options before posting that solutions but the thing is that Ravi already has those 10 devices with RS232 he clearly said it in the very first post. He clearly stated I have device which has RS232 output I want to connect 10 device to PC but my pc has only two ports one i have used for mouse nad i have one left. can anyone suggest me how do i implement. It is here http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=79087 Thus rather than changing those 10 devices to RS485 / RS422 why not keep those 10 as it is and make 1 new device to handle the existing situation.
