I wouldn't want to keep track of ten separate, uncorrelated devices and bit-bang them.

Now I beleive there is a lot of confusion...
I didn't mean 10 8051's refer to my schematic in an earlier thread thre is just 1 8051 sercing all ten devices RAVI spoke about.

I suspect that Ravi's application might not support that.

No easy alternative for making self if his application can't support that. Since the bottleneck is the single PC port which will be serving all 10 device simultaneously.
