What about a 10-port RS232-Ethernet converter (aka "Terminal Server")?
Again, they can present a standard COM: port interface to the PC Application(s). You then have the advantage that the PC doesn't need to be anywhere near the units. Or ten 1-port Terminal Servers? This gives the added advantage that the units don't need to be anywhere near each other! |
