What is your "medical device" ? There are specialist standards developed for the functionality of medical devices, their EMC and ability to recover from faults.
No comments expressed by anyone in this thread should be taken as permitting you to proceed without your own checking and certification of any issues arising from your implementation. If clinical outcomes, or somebody's life may depend upon this, I don't think it is a good choice as what sounds like your first microcontroller project. For the sake of the patients, please consider hiring someone who is not only well experienced with embedded systems design in general, but also specifically with medical equipment. |
