I do not think so.
Yes, the components for a '51 solution are cheaper, but what about development time = cost. The hardware would have to be made since I do not know of any ready-made board hadling this since I, for such a thing, would definitely use relay output to be connected across the pushbuttons. I have seen so many spending hours upon hours making a thing such as this from scratch, just because a bag of components are cheaper than a unit. Also using a factory made PLC he will get a proven hardware that will not "burp" because other equipment in the office happen to spark. Erik |
