Just because a software package is an old version does that make it legal to promote its use without license?
Questions worth asking and considering! It wouldn't be the only case of the old DOS stuff being released as freeware. Borland release their current top range compilers in personal editions free of charge. How many of us would like it if some one cloned 8051 hardware or software products we made 10 or 12 years ago and used that to compete against us on the same playing field that we find outselves on today??
Personally, I wouldn't expect my 10 year old stuff to hold a candle to my modern products. Honest. ;-) Steve |
