#95471 - Still depends. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Who cares about what:
Code that makes good use of resources - management. Code that is maintainable - developers. Code that just works - end users. So who do you write the code for? I personally prefer to buy a device that works flawlessly, that one with service packs being released weekly to fix known bugs. And I prefer to buy a device with a full feature set, than one that could be oh-so-great if only they released firmware to support the extra functionality. (there was a gfx card, hyped to soooo kick ass of all the competition when the driver supporting some extended feature implemented on the card is finished. Then during development of the driver it was found out that the hardware design of the new feature is flawed and the driver can't solve the flaw, and and so, users ended up with overpriced piece of medicore junk) |
