Now, however I have some algorithms that make my SW fly compared to
some competitors Putting usablity in front of maintainablity. Anyone can use it, but only you can maintain it. Same can be said about my (open source) Perl programs. [opening source] is the decision by the copyright owner, not by anyone else. So is crippling maintainablity by most other means. Now just what is worse, crippling maintainablity efficiently, on purpose, or just accidentially because of lack of skill? I'm not saying you don't have a reason or right to release closed-source software. I just mean it's against the noble priority you've mentioned in your original post. |
