#95837 - The issue discussed is not open or close Responding to: ???'s previous message |
but anyone who uses the code has to give you a copy of their changes, so YOU benefit back again
The issue discussed is not open or closed source, but maintainability. If a company is responsible, their code it does not, as Bartosz insist, have to be open source to be maintainable. If open source is appropiate, go ahead, it's luvverly, but it should not, as Bartosz insist, be mandatory. I really do not have an opinion on open source except that it should be voluntary (and is not a requirement for maintainability) and that it will never cure cancer. Erik |
