Erik, to blantantly say that someone is wrong on a subject that is not so black and white is to incite a war!

One could argue that code that works doesn't need maintenance!

Code that does not work is of no use to anyone. It could be the best written, best documented but ultimately, if it doesn't work the programmer has failed in his/her task. If you examined the marketplace, I dare say you'd find more poorly written code working as opposed to well written code not working.

Rather than say I'm wrong, maybe I could suggest that reality as many people see it doesn't line up with certain people's perceptions!
