As much as possible, yes. I think we've already agreed that a truly universal SBC is pretty much impossible. But I've included the components on the SBC that I think are most useful and representative for instructive purposes (LCD, keypad, I2C, SPI, serial, LED, etc.).

I suggest you verify that the board works (and ISPs) with the P89C668 which has 64k flash and 8k XRAM. This is a nice chip when you need pins galore.


I'm pretty sure it won't work since the SBC assumes DIP-40 and it looks like the P89C668 is not available in DIP-40.

for universality, I would suggest you chose a supervisor for which an equivalent with the opposite reset polarity was available with the same pinout.


Either I don't understand what you are suggesting or I don't understand the reason for the suggestion. Could you expand on that suggestion a bit more?
