I've updated the SBC page to reflect Digikey's part number for the AT89S8253. I've also included the part numbers for the IC sockets that were previously missing.
Also, as general information, I have completed a full monitor program for the SBC that performs pretty much every feature the SBC supports (setting/display XRAM, IRAM, the RTC, the serial EEPROM, communicating with the keypad, and communicating with the LCD in direct as well as memory-mapped mode). It also permits the uploading of Intel-HEX files into the 32k of "code RAM" and even includes a very rudimentary assembler that could be used to write very small programs from within the monitor but, more likely, would be used to make small modifications to programs already loaded. Writing a mini-assembler in assembler was kind of fun. I expect to put the monitor program online in HEX and assembly language source format probably by Monday or Tuesday. I just have some cleaning up to do in the code. :) Regards, Craig Steiner |
