Lesson number one, dear Adam: Insist on taking the right material when working with electronics! There's no excuse for taking the wrong parts! If you cannot get the rigth parts, stop doing in electronics, because you will never get anything reliable or have success which lasts much longer than for the moment! "Farshid" said:
what he does need is something to help him build his own programmer. I meant there would be someways to help him by providing him another Schematic which could do the job with the 74HCTxxx which he has in hand. I have builded more than 10 Asim Khan's Programmer V3.00 with 74HCT541 Buffer without any problem. the important diffrence that i see between the HC and HCT logics is the Noise Margin and capability of HCT parts to work in lower supply voltage. Get the "AT 89 ISP TOOL" also called "ATMEL's ISP cable", download the ATMELISP software and start a happy new life of being able to handle your microcontroller properly. Of course that would be the best choice , if he could afford and wants to spend that cash for buying the Programmer. Farshid |
