While there have been a few SPLD programming circuits published on the www, my confidence is low. PLD programmers, however, tend to cost a lot, when compared with MCU-specific programmers of various sorts.
I think the small, 32- or 36-macrocell CPLD's from XILINX or ALTERA, both of which are JTAG programmable and well supported with software, would be the device of choice, particularly as these are still available in PLCC-44 packages, which iare easily prototyped. RE |
