8032's are easy-to-play-with toys. A guy wishing to play with easy-to-apply microcontrollers on a small scale would have no trouble building up an application using one of the many 8032 boards that are available for under $50US. With all the hassles people have programming the on-board flash on ATMEL and Philips parts, I can't blame them for wanting something proven.
I'll start believing in serially programmable parts when I see this forum go a year without any complaints about serial programmers and ISP/IAP issues, and FLASH corruption. In the meantime, we have to get this O/P to figure out where the fault lies. Trying to convince him to use a board that YOU like won't solve his problem. RE |
