You can't go pumping too many volts down the line as this will distort the mains waveform - I dare say there's a standard for this. From what I've been told, the Zellweger system uses carrier or no carrier much like X10,I think using two carrier levels is making more work for yourself. Like X10, you can use the pulse position to determine the data.
