... quite often have lost a lot in the translation from Chineese to Chinglish.

I remember hours of frustration using the actual manufacturers datasheet before 'experimenting my way with the ICE' to find out what the datasheet error was. This led me to compare 5 different manufacturers datasheets and went for a majority vote which cleared it up.

I have found that LCD module coding is best done with the actual manufacturers datasheet as to pinout (even there, I have been burned) and the OPTREX datasheet for the rest. This may have changed, for the last 5 years I have used no LCDs, only glorious VFDs.
