The Hitachi JHD 162a are the most common LCDs found in India and that is what i've been using. If i'm using it, it is very obvious that it works(in 4bit mode and also 8bit for which too i have posted the code in the code library). Now if Mr.Arvind is working on the JHD 162a, he can use the code directly without any changes in the initialisation sequence if not, i guess he will have to write his own code. Need I say more? That was a direct solution to the thread, i don't see a valid reason to invest more time on this.
