#123132 - Better late than never
Responding to: ???'s previous message
This might be quite a late reply for your request but I'm sure you were waiting for this one. Next time you post a request, make sure you specify the processor details it will help the forum members to help you better. Anyways, look for 'LCD4bit mode' posted by me in the code library, it is tested and works absolutely fine, I have used the same code in many of my projects.

I am sure there will be a lot of comments on "it is tested and works absolutely fine.", but they will never know until they have tested it and I am sure they don't have enough time to do that. Go ahead with the code, you will need to change the port assignments in the code according to your requirements. The code is written for at89c51@11.0592MHz, introdure 8 to 10 'nop's between Rs and En if you are running the processor at a faster clock rate.
