#131837 - guilty as charged Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I've got a box of LCD's, containing several lots, in fact, in various formats. They're 4x40, 4x20, 2x40, 2x16, 2x8, 1x16, and I may still have one 1x8 LCD ... all purchased well over a decade ago when they were really popular.
I've never used an Optrex device myself, except for one of their LCD-substitute VF (or whatever) samples. If a client were to require an LCD-type display, I'd try to persuade him to use a different technology because of the viewing-angle and general visibility issues when there's no backlight. (consider the HP laser printers for example. I always had to keep a flashlight avaiable in order to read them.) I like the highly visible LCD-equivalent modules, but haven't had time or opportunity to explore that product type, though I may do that pretty soon. My LCD contacts have always, up to now, begun with, "We want to use THIS LCD ..." Any suggestion as to whose product line to examine? RE |
