My hardware is not very often deliverable, as it is just for proof of concept. As a result, once I've done my demonstration, much of the stuff is reuseable, so it goes back into my stock. I sell engineering, not hardware.

The reason is that I'm often called upon to do a "what can you show us by 2 o'clock on Friday?" thing, which rules out having parts delivered. If it's not on hand, it doesn't get used. When I find something that would help, I get it in when I don't have to have it "yesterday."
