#157187 - Lets first choose a chip. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
We can provide the sort routine in c (or was it c++ I forget). So if not in C it can be easily rewritten using code we give you.
If any of you wish to choose a chip that is reasonably priced that has up to 16 (or less if must be so) inputs we'd like to hear about it. We feel that since we'd love to learn all about how to do this but don't have time at the moment (wish there were a class on it avail nearby), that we are asking you guys for help in this area. 1. Lets choose a chip eeprom that can be hopefully at least 12 inputs to keep it simple for us. We'd rather it be that one channel went bad or burped then the whole apple cart upset. (stay away from multiplexing in other words 2 channels is not enough inputs). ALso ok lets use C since its so easy and we have had c in the past (have to relearn it but not afraid of that). Please help us first choose the chip and then lets proceed with all the other things needed like test board , how to input program, a/d if need on inputs , (inputs should be similar to a simple voltage tap from temp sensor which can be divided down to below 5 volts ). Can anyone give us their diagram for what is needed. Thanks, j. |
