#157220 - the reward of hobbyist Responding to: ???'s previous message |

The biggest and most important part of the work doesn't involve soldering or wire-wrapping. It involves thinking and planning. That's where most hobbyists fail. I wouldn't call it a failure. In fact, most of the time, the hobbyists reward is the fun he had, and maybe skills he learned. And that does not necessarily imply a successful outcome of the project. And, on the other hand, soldering and wire-wrapping is certainly much more fun than thinking and planning (and writing docs). There might be types who would find writing docs relaxing and fun, but I don't think it's too common... ;-) Everybody have a very nice weekend! Jan |
