#157206 - Lets keep on track.
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I think we are getting off track here. This is not rocket science (well actually it is sort of, but thats beside the point), this SHOULD be simple for experts. Maybe you could "presume" some things. but first look at this "kit" and tell me if you think it can do the job of sorting out 12 to 16 analog input voltages according a software logic, and then set outputs to high or low accordingly.
http://www.testech-elect.com/iar/kit_8051.htm
Thanks. (*looks like its great but limited to 8 inputs separately. ) j.
P.S. you have example in previous message: Input analog voltages to 12 or 16 different input (channels) then sort them high to low, then set outputs corespondingly. (why is this so hard?) The output interface will be small wires to to 12-16 AND gates and then on to small relays. The input will be analog voltage from 0-5 volts into chip (if thats possible. ) Other interfaces will be decided on by the type of chip mc itself.
-Environment is high and dry, not mil spec. MTBF? We expect it to never fail preferably, this is so simple it shouldn't fail at all. We will do the packaging into black box later.
--Name your PRICE and lets see if we can agree on it. WE'd like to see a decent Flow diagram with some parts on it for starters. thanks. Keep the comments progressive please, its hard to read everyones ideas when many of you seem to use different schemes to achieve same results.
--- Hope we don't have to do this ourselves.
============================
Tell us exactly what it has to do, in terms of time, voltage, temperature, power, etc. Tell us what exact tests to which it can be subjected it has to meet in order to warrant payment in full. Tell us what the user interface must be. Tell us what the environmental conditions must be. Tell us what the Mean Time Between Failures must be. Tell us how it has to be packaged. Tell us when it has to be completed.

Tell us EXACTLY what you're willing to pay and EXACTLY when, and in what form payment will be presented.

Once those are known, one can work out an agreement.
