That should be self evident, thanks for pointinmg it out to those for whom it is not As applications become larger and more complex this method becomes difficult to design, modify and maintain. Never had a problem up to 512k of code + tables in an XA. If a processor has ONE purpose (NOT one 'task') such as controlling a machine and showing the status thereof, there is no need for an OS. If a processor is to do more than one thing, the '51 is not the horse for that wagon. Erik |
