You're preaching to believers in 'the one true way that must be followed'. You will not change their minds no matter how plausible your arguments are.
The above describes with great precision those that would not dream of designing a '51 system without an OS. If someone decide to use an OS for a '51 project, peace be with him. That is not the issue if that decision is taken with full understanding of the impact. The issue is those that approach "blinky" with "of course we need an OS". There is among "managers" a common belief that "a programmer is a programmer" and such will get some PC types to screw up a '51 (or whatever small processor) project by applying PC techniques (we have seen the question: "is Linux available for the '51") to an 8 bit project which could fit in 4k and end up with 128k banked just to support the PC approach to solving a problem.
