#92794 - Give up Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Craig Steiner said:
Of course, if youn are bending, folding and mutilating the '51 to behave as a microprocessor, using a RTOS makes sense ... but does it make sense to force a '51 into a microprocessor app? Why not? If the 8052 is capable of doing whatever the person is trying to "bend, fold and mutilate" the 8052 into doing, why would you want to use a more powerful processor, especially if it costs? And if doing the bending, folding and mutilating requires an RTOS (or saves them time in development), why not use it? Regards, Craig Steiner You're preaching to believers in 'the one true way that must be followed'. You will not change their minds no matter how plausible your arguments are. Their definition of terms such as 'real time' are the only true definitions no matter how far from reality they may be. 'Opinion' and 'fact' are semantically identical in their minds. Their views are fully polarised - there are no sliding scales, all analogue concepts are banished from this truly digital world where black is black, white is white and anything else just doesn't exist. Remember their motto: "Everything shall be the way it always has been, the march of technology shall not change the way I or others work, unless of course I happen to have used it and got it working and liked it in which case it shall become another of the great truths". |
