Of course, if youn are bending, folding and mutilating the '51 to behave as a microprocessor, using a RTOS makes sense ... but does it make sense to force a '51 into a microprocessor app? Why not? If the 8052 is capable of doing whatever the person is trying to "bend, fold and mutilate" the 8052 into doing, why would you want to use a more powerful processor, especially if it costs? And if doing the bending, folding and mutilating requires an RTOS (or saves them time in development), why not use it? Regards, Craig Steiner |
