#92988 - I2c is forbidden to leave the board...
Responding to: ???'s previous message

on-board, I hope, The IIC is not noise resistant to any extent.

Indeed, Erik, I2c won't leave the board. I've given no authorization to I2c to do that... ;-)
See the comment I gave on Russel's very extensive explanation.

Erik Malund said:
Using IIC in wiring is, at best, risky.

I will have to face one problem,though... As explained in the answer to Russel, I mentioned I have to go with 1 I2c line from the box containing my uC downstairs, to a box upstairs, since I'm working on two levels.
Not all the cables are arriving in the box located in the garage, only part of. Whatever is needed upstairs, will be put in a box upstairs.

2 reasons for that:
- too long cables would be the result, if I have to come from from the first level to the ground level
- more wires would be packed together. Separating them reliefs this a bit.

But for the "long" I2c wire (some 20 meter in total, I guess), I will use the I2c line extender (82B715). So, I don't think that will be a problem, right?

Best rgds,

--Geert

PS. It'll take some more time, but once my complete schematics are ready of the complete electronical circuit, I'll try to post them on the web.
