Thats right Erik,

Sorry for my digram showing stubs actually when I drew it I had not shown stubs intentionally but it was convinient and quicker to draw.

I agree with you, In a RS485 network stubs should always be avoided. Here is how how I use a stubless RS485. The termination resistors and the fail safe biasing is always used in my designs :)
