One more thing where a true ICE differs is in the possible richness of breakpoint options - not only the number of them can be bigger, but they can be bound to multiple events in succession, counted events, memory-area-access, SFR access and maybe more...

Nevertheless, as Erik pointed out, a very important issue is the user interface (and also its binding to other tools); and this holds of all of the tools (ICE-qICE-monitor-simulator).
