#120712 - What would YOU suggest? ... be specific Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Rishab Bucha asked for help with interfacing an 8051, yes, probably the "real McCoy," since he didn't specify otherwise, with an 8155, which, like it or not, is what HE's got to use.
What we've all been waiting for, of course, is a post of his schematic and a properly formatted example of his code. When that shows up, we can help. It's not rocket-science. There are many published solutions that I've seen over the years. The ticket printers in many movie theaters here in the U.S. used a printer controller that had an 8751 and a couple of 8155/56's (They have opposite-sense CE pins, but are otherwise the same). Some of these are still in use today, probably thousands of them. From what I've read on this thread, all the necessary information has been presented for him to do the job. All that's needed now is for him to read and apply it. He may, of course, never come back to this thread, since he's got what he wants. RE |
