#120755 - Hogwash!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Those little "gadgets" that one has to build in order to make it possible ot program one of these devices are a PROGRAMMER.

There's always a make or buy decision. Unless you know of a variant that can be programmed as shipped, they all seem to require a programmer of some sort, even if it's just a couple of IC's. After seeing evidence of the struggle some people have had, well documented on this site, with building programmers at a time when they need a reliable and fully functional one, I don't blame anyone for believing he should buy one.

A Google search will support that quickly enough.

The original datasheet for the 8751 even had a diagram and flowchard that was adequate to allow one to build a programmer for it, albeit a parallel programmer. This technology isn't secret, and it's not rocket science. Nevertheless, some people want to buy, rather than build, their programmer.
