This guy has decided what hardware he wants to use, perhaps because he's already got it, before considering alternatives. Now, we've all seen posts from people in other parts of the world where it's lamented that "current" technology is not readily available. That's a valid argument, certainly.
The more serious point, though, is that there was a frenzy of the all-too-frequent, "don't do it the way you want. Do it the way I want." The O/P probably found that more than just a little off-putting. There are cultures where admitting one has made an error is equivalent to, here in the U.S, admitting one is a homosexual child-molester. Perhaps that's what kept the O/P from providing the detail we asked for. That's not a justification for jumping on him for using an 8155, though, particularly in light of the fact, and has been shown to be fact, that most of us didn't even know what the 8155/56 is. RE |
