#131291 - Drilling holes with 100 mil pitch should not be...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hello Mike,

The smallest DIP chip in width I used is 300mils.

If at least the rows are that far apart in a jumper block, then I can use it.

Hand drilling holes which are 100 mils apart is not very difficult, have you tried it? The pcb people do it all the time, all you need is a drill (high speed steel or cardbide tipped) around 0.80mm in dia and a small high speed drilling machine, for small quantity prototype boards it should be easy, a little practice is all that is needed, you might break a few drills in the process.

If you are planning to manufacture in quantities then you can get it drilled at a pcb drilling shop.

Regards,
John.
