Quite aware... I'm kind of disappointed in Atmel for not offering anything more than ~1.7k in the C51xD2's. I'm stuck on Atmel at the moment because I have a programmer for them and a collection of chips to play with. In hindsight, probably a poor choice. If I want to code in C I kind of need the XRAM, not absolutely, but it sure helps. (helps me code sloppy, I know... :-) )


I'll probably find my way over to Silabs soon enough. Their chips look very interesting, and as I said before, they're a hometown favorite here.


(Checked silabs.com... Their tool stick starter kit is $25. Erik you're going to get me in trouble... ;-) )
