Just for the avoidance of doubt, You mean, "the SiLabs execution stinks." Your complaints relate purely to the SiLabs interface - they have nothing specifically to do with the JTAG itself.

Not having used the SiLabs debugger, I can't comment on it.
How does it compare to Keil?
