While this matter is interesting, it's clear that I'm not going to find an already-built tool that I can use through this channel. What fascinates me is that several parties, while unaware of any way to solve my problem, are so anxious to solve a different problem for me.

Your experience with the JTAG-capable devices you use is of some interest to me, so if, when you come back all relaxed and rested, you could advise me as to which parts might fit in my mostly original 8032/8052 applications, I'd be very interested.
