I certainly can't disagree with Andy Neil's comment. In fact many of the comments made on this thread have been interesting. However, I didn't intend to start a religious argument.

There are things that a resident debugger can do that are practical and adequate, and, of course, very flexible. It's just another tool, and it's a shame a complete one doesn't exist for the 805x. Maybe that can be fixed.

Yes, other debugging methods exist. Goodness knows I've got a store room full of 'em. However, since a 'C'-sourced debugger doesn't exist, perhaps it's time one were created. I often find I have time between July 4th and Labor Day, since my clints' people tend to be vacationing and, therefore, unavailable during that timespan. Perhaps some effort will go into that. Of course, this year I may be travelling myself ... <sigh> ... If I'm lucky.
