Companies do not alway push the old stuff that sells fine.
All 8052 companies added together out sell AVR. Atmel pushes AVR, but still sells 8052's
I can not find the statistics now I will have to look more.
PIC claims the most revenue. I assume that means they do not lead in unit sales.
