Erik Malund said: 'support' and 'Atmel', I am still laughing. The LPC chips beat the defecation out of the Atmels as far as cost. > One can find AVR Atmega or Attiny series even under their bead :) .Its that much circulated all over the world . LPC ?? I cant say Phillips guys are only active via Farnell or RScomponents believe me. If you compare a C8051f120 with an AVR you will see that the above is totally false. > Again who wants to loose time requesting the distributor , the Jtag debugger/programmer, and volume F120 order, what is the big difference between the SILabs USB 'dongle' and the Atmel 'programming cable' ? > Availablity , Atmega programming cable can be made within minutes and there are plenty of programming FREE tools on the net , But no one knows how to make a Cygnal programmin cable and software? BTW: I have personally used many Cygnal parts and the IDE/debugger is amaizing but the parts has to be procured every time which takes CONSEDRABLE lead time. Whereas this isnt a problem with AVRS. |
