1) who the h... knows what you are talking about since you have no location in your profile.

2) when I have worked outside the US I have found that a lot of "US truths" are not so there, one distributor want to make money by an enormous markup another want to make money on volume.

3) some companies 'delegate' all support to the distributors (especially in non-english speaking countries) and, of course, that will, again, lead to a situation that is not the same from country to country.

4) while what you post very well may be true wherever you live, you can not ASS U ME that they are global truths as you postulate them to be.
