... from using PICs. I don't know why is it so, but I have experienced this too many times: all whom I know and use 8051s (and even AVRs) do have serious - and too often clearly and overtly emotional - block against using PICs (including myself).

However, given the huge - and happy - user base of PICs - and many of them whom I know are real professionals, not just hobbyists - I doubt the datasheets (and the devices) are THAT bad. Or, they maybe are, but, let's face it, most of the '51s are no better.
