I can guarantee you that there is no preference for useless posts from anyone. If a post is useless and inflamatory, I will delete it. Sometimes I will get an email from someone pointing me to a post that they find offensive. I'll check it out and if I agree, I'll delete it. I've deleted a significant number of posts from "senior" members in the past.

The fact is that sometimes I can be very busy for days at a time with other projects and not have a chance to read every new message on 8052.com. I'm sure that can happen with Steve, too. If we don't see it we aren't going to delete it, that's for sure. Especially when the messages in question are buried deep in a 30+ message thread it's entirely possible we'll end up missing a given message.

So, as I've probably said dozens of times in the past: If you see a post that you believe is inappropriate from anyone you should email Steve or me the link to the message you find inappropriate to make sure we are aware of it.

Regardless, I am hopeful that the karma system will reduce the frequency of useless messages from both new and senior members. But if it doesn't, please, email me and make sure I know about the post in question. Don't assume that I've seen it and approve of it--consider the possibility that I haven't even seen it.
