#71903 - RE: Good answers vs. Wrong answers Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I have grudgingly accepted this idea and added an "Answer is wrong" score. I say grungingly because although I think it's a reasonable score category I'm afraid that it may be abused. I understand and before posting, had considered the potential for abuse. There are so many different ways to do something in both the hardware and software realms, with the goodness and badness of the various techniques being a rather subjective measurement. That different answers and viewpoints get posted is itself good. I hope people will only use this score category for answers that are completely wrong and not just where other or better answers may exist. "completely wrong" -- Absolutely, positively, and beyond a shadow of a doubt is incorrect (e.g., it defies the laws of physics or published standards). |
